Inform, Inspire & Improve: NYKids 2022 Engagement Round Up and Invitation for Feedback
By Jessie Tobin & Kristen C. Wilcox
Happy New Year from NYKids! We are thrilled to embark on a new era of accomplishing our mission to inform, inspire, and improve with our partners across the state, nation, and world (and welcome your feedback to 4 quick questions). This past year was an especially meaningful and exciting year for the NYKids team as we finished our study of COVID-19 effects on the educator workforce and continued to expand our network of continuous improvement partners.
2022 Engagement Highlights
During 2022, over 5,000 new visitors interacted with our website, and they came from various regions, states, and countries. The majority of our website users were from New York State, but we had significant numbers of users from Virginia, California, Texas, Ohio, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Washington, and Florida. Across the globe, website visitors came from countries such as China, Canada, the Philippines, Brazil, the UK, and Japan.
The NYKids team is so grateful for users’ engagement with our research reports, articles, blogs, podcasts, and continuous improvement resources. Our most viewed content in 2022 was on our Research Results page, which highlighted educator experiences throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and promising practices of educators’ adaptations and innovations amid pandemic-related challenges.
Website users were also highly interested in our blogs focused on supporting the school bus driver workforce, principles of Improvement Science, and community-school partnerships. If you haven’t seen these yet, we welcome you to check them out.
