Aaron Leo, PhD
Aaron Leo is a cultural anthropologist whose research focuses on the educational aspirations of newcomer youth and the role of education in the social mobility of newcomer families. Since 2018, Dr. Leo has worked with NYKids, an interdisciplinary research team housed in the School of Education at the University at Albany. In this role, Aaron Leo has led qualitative and mixed-methods research projects on topics such as college and career readiness, family engagement, and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the educator workforce.
