NYKids Presents at the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) Regional Conference

Aaron Leo, Postdoctoral Fellow and Associate, Catherine Kramer, Research Assistant, and Hal Lawson, Professor and NYKids Co-Investigator, presented at the Comparative and International Education Society Regional Conference held at the University at Albany – SUNY.
The presentation titled “Striving for College & Career Readiness: Deriving Promising Practices from Odds-beating Second Schools in New York State,” shared findings from the latest study focused on critical needs high school students.
The discussion focused on lessons from odds-beating high schools regarding building positive school communities, leadership for cultural responsiveness, and collaboration with community partners.
